Other Course Policies.
1. Policy for rescheduling mid-term exams/quizzes. In MGT 3061, missed exams will only be rescheduled when students provide me with appropriate supporting documentation that clearly shows you were unable to complete a scheduled exam due to exceptional and extenuating circumstances beyond your control. Exams will not be rescheduled to accommodate personal travel arrangements or personal events/activities.
2. Conduct during examinations: The expectation is that students complete all their MGT 3061 exams without using notes, the book, or any other form of online- or Internet-based assistance, downloaded files and/or contact from other people/students. In other words, students are not allowed to use or consult aids such as: notes, books, mobile phones/computers/other digital devices, online or in-person volunteer/paid tutors, OR share exam questions with other students during and after examination periods. Please be honest and complete and submit your own work without aid from other sources! If it is reported and/or determined that students were dishonest on exams, disciplinary actions described in uLethbridge policies will be taken. Students are encouraged to refer to examination policies found in the “Assessment of Student Learning Policy and Procedures – Undergraduate Students” policy located on the University’s “Institutional Policies and Procedures” website.
3. Use of plagiarism detection services: All uLethbridge instructors are allowed to use “Turnitin”, the university-approved plagiarism detection service, to determine the originality of student work. MGT 1000 students are required to submit all work digitally in order for their work to be checked for plagiarism.
4. Student conduct expectations: Please refer to the online uLethbridge policies pertaining to academic and non-academic misconduct. The “Student Discipline Policy – Academic Offenses Undergraduate Students” and the “Student Discipline Policy - Non-Academic Offenses...” policies are located on the University’s “Institutional Policies and Procedures” website, and relate to academic- and behavior-related actions. It is each student’s responsibility to become familiar with these policies; specifically policies related to plagiarism, duplicating others’ work and cheating. It is every group member’s responsibility to ensure that all submitted group work is original work, and to report to instructors when they believe plagiarized work has been submitted.
